This scene reminds me a lot of the Cyborg 009 scene with 003. The victim is so bright eyed and excited and in moments its all brought crumbling down by a chloroform cloth.

And suicide, I remember seeing that Cyborg 009 scene live on tv. It was like my favorite scene ever at the time. Still is.
