Jana of the Jungle

Post by ghostz »

I wanted to post this topic later, but Suicide's birthday represents a greater opportunity. :) Happy Birthday :D

Probably some of you saw this series when you were really young, at least I did. Although it's out of gag scenes, it has plenty of tie-ups, cage scenes and other DID situations that our jungle girl, Jana had to face. As you can see some caps are really low in quality, but this is because the show is really really old.

Yeah I checked this a couple years ago actually from some very crappy quality recorded dvds I bought from a website. I think these caps actually look slightly better than what I have, believe it or not.
It's sad that Jana didn't receive any gags in this show, but she's still a hottie and looks great tied up nonetheless.

Oh, and Happy Birthday Suicide! :)

The latest issue of Alter Ego has an interview with the widow of former comic pro Don Rico. In it, she mentions that she was the model for Jana's rotoscoped movements during the production of that cartoon, since Rico worked on the show. I'm wondering if she did any of the scenes with the nets, and if stills survived.
Catwoman: Think you can handle me?
Batman: I've got handcuffs.
Catwoman: Ooh.

Sadly the capture scenes are just animated frames. Most of the rotoscoping that happened in this show was her running or swinging on a jungle vine. Most everything else was just animated from drawing.
