Saladin: The Animated Series

Post by ghostz »

Well usually i'm not a big fan of 3D animated series, but this one looked pretty good and I decided to check it. As I hoped it deliver many DID scenes, including a full treatment too, featuring the main girl, Anisa. The only thing I regret about this series, is that in my opinion the show would have been better in a 2D format, like some of its promos http://i.imgur.com/qXtvbt8.jpg" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;.

Lots of lovely DiD. Awesome finds! And they have really good rendering of the ropes each time. Gone are the days when rendered animation has invisible ropes holding people.

Good finds. I agree with you by the way, a 2D version would have been even better.

Malaysian animation mostly leans on 3D these days, due to popularity of shows like Upin & Ipin and Boboiboy.

Great find on this show that I'd never heard about. :) Cute little gag scene for the girl (her name is Anisa I think) but it's too bad it didn't last longer with some better angles & close-ups. Nice hand-gag on the blonde girl in #26 too. I also prefer 2d hand-drawn animation over 3d any day and would rather have seen this animated that way, but as Suicide mentioned, this isn't too bad for 3d at all.
