I’d show more concern about how the game plays than the storyline, especially after the “Battletoads” fiasco.

Besides, they haven’t even revealed the whole storyline for this one yet.

Hoping happens. We did get Streets of Rage 4 from same group.

Dunno if will be saving April now or not.

I imagine that the popular fan-made game, TMNT: Rescue-Palooza was considered a shot across the bow to game developers, and Viacom. It proved that the demand is still there over a decade after "TMNT: RE-SHELLED" (which was not well received) and that fans still love 16-bit graphics and fast, yet simple, gameplay.

I only hope that as the intro suggests, more characters than the four Turtles are available to play. TMNT:R-P is a free game which was able to incorporate 17 levels and 60 selectable characters from across the cartoons, comics, films, video games, and action figures. While I don't expect that level of choice (especially since, let's be honest, many characters in TMNT:R-P are there for the novelty, not for usefulness), the slickly animated intro implies that April O'Neil and Splinter tag in for some action. I'd love to see Casey Jones too, but six would still beat four.
