The kids are a asian duo of a older sister and younger brother, a arabic girl who is the brain of the group and a boy who is the largest of the group.
There are 3 books and in 2 of them they are captured.

In the first book the sister and the largest kid got captured and end up with there hands tied behind there back.

At a certain point both girl get captured and the badguy puts them on the ground so that he can tie there feet and hands.
After getting dragged to camp they get joined by a third girl(some girl of that book) who also got her hands and feet tied.
They than order there parrot to fly to get help.(here is a pick off but the girls are in the background very small)
At a certain point the bad guy tape gags the girls, but the smart girl got a knife that she uses to cut the rope.
