I think it's from the light novel "Dance a merry Christmas", but I haven't been able to download a copy with the chapter illustrations to confirm.

Also I seem to remember seeing another FMP illustration with Kanami's best friend chained to something with a booby-trap bomb. I could of sworn I've got a copy on my computer, but for the life of me I can't find it.

Thanks for the info; found a torrent for a translation of that novel but that illustration wasn't in there, unfortunately. Might have just not have been in that pdf, not sure.

Yeah that's what I found. The premise of the story fits with a ocean liner in the picture but can't find original illustration.
Who knows it could of even been just some promotional material for the book.

Went through all 40+ volumes of the main Kindaichi manga and spinoffs for this update, be aware that my documentation may be wrong between some of the latter "Kindaichi Shonen no Jikenbo" and "Kindaichi NEW" scenes as I got them all in one torrent and didn't notice immediately where one series stopped and the other began. These detective series(Particularly this and Conan) focus on murders so much that it gets tiring. Hardly any arcs focused on thievery or kidnapping to shake it up, kind of unfortunate.

At least 2 of those where animated.

The vampire scene was in TV Special 2 and the girl tied to a chair was from Tv Ep 81.

Anyone know any other detective manga I should skim through for scenes? I also found a scene documented on Usea Castle that is in a special edition of volume 34. The special edition adds an extra file 12 called "The Black Chaser" or something to that effect. This update mostly consists of what I found skimming through Gintama. I usually go through each volume of a manga in less than a minute while looking for DiD scenes, but Gintama is written/drawn in a way where each page is really dense and packed with content, so I may have missed scenes even though I went a bit slower than usual. If you know of any scenes I've accidentally skipped over, feel free to post them! Also included some previously known scenes from Onna Keiji Persona and VF Outsider History and some other lesser known scenes for each series. If anyone knows where to get any raws for VF Outsider History from volumes 19-27, I'd appreciate the info.
