On this strip, the boat has a balance problem, so the only solution one character, the professor, found to temporarily restore the balance until he finds a solution is to....Bound and gag the (rather fat) aunt to one end of the boat. The "gag" is that at the end, once the professor restored balance, he says "I think about everything" as he forgot to untie the lady.
