Kill la Kill

Episode 2 has a brief scene of a character tied up so the girls from the tennis club can torment her with their shots.

The show is REALLY fan-servicey so I'd expect there to be more scenes before the show is out.

Episode 1 had the same character getting crucified.

Reminds me so much of Go Nagi's stuff like Devil Man and Cutie Honey.

It's more the the character designs and the over the top ridiculousness of it all.

For example take this character -
Image
She along with the minions behind her, looks like she's just stepped off the set of Cutie Honey as one of Sister Jill's flunckys.
And this is what happens when she's defeated :D

There's also the slapstick sight gags and wild takes like this -

Not to mention that the entire scene of the school council holding the friend hostage, forcing the scantily clad heroine to come out and save her, is pretty much ripped directly from Kekko Kamen.

I guess I never saw it from that angle. Still not seeing the Nagai-ness in the characters, but I guess I need to watch the anime. :P
