Pith Possum: Super Dynamic Possum of Tomorrow

[Kattobingu]

Anyone remember a cartoon called "The Shnookums and Meat Funny Cartoon Show"? Me neither. But I did remember the show would devote a segment about "Pith Possum: Super Dynamic Possum of Tomorrow", and there are two scenes featuring the show's parody of Lois Lane, Doris Dear (or maybe it's Deer). BTW, while everyone else is a furry, Doris is human.

Anyway, the first of two scenes is in an episode which parodies the old Superman episode "The Mechanical Monsters". Instead of slowly being dropped into a vat of hot liquid like Lois, Doris is tied up with rope while on a conveyor belt and about to be fed into a grinder. Starts at about 7:34.

And here's the "Mechanical Monsters" cartoon if you want to compare (the DID scene in that starts at 7:18):

The second DID scene features Doris kidnapped by a Pith Possum imposter (an im-possum-ster, if you will). While sitting in a chair with her hands tied behind her back, she is going to get dipped into a tank of alligators. The bad news is she gets dumped into the tank. The good news is that she is still saved, but her clothes are slightly ripped and she loses her beret and shoes (but somehow gets her beret back in the following scene). Begins at 4:21 and continues at 6:29.

Also, gotta love the episode titles.

From what I understand the Pith Possum segments were the best thing about The Shnookums and Meat Funny Cartoon Show.
