Anime Sightings Old and New - Zatch Bell

[wc2bmalin]

I was watching episodes of Zatch Bell never shown on U.S. TV when I spotted two quick DID scenes that I don't recall were pointed out previously. (OTOH my recent posting about Michiko & Hatchin proved that my memory is less than perfect.) Both occurred in episode #89 (listed at Hulu as episode #39 of season 2).

First, just before the 8:00 point a bathing beauty is roped above and below her bustline. (At the time I thought she was just a random babe, but in subsequent episodes she turned out to be in a group associated with Dr. Riddles. In the English dialog she was called "Lady Susan," but neither she nor her group were listed in the Wikipedia article.)

Second, starting at the 15:00 point three people are roped to wooden poles: Lady Susan, a schoolgirl (Kiyo's classmate Suzy), and an old lady. (Again, at the time I thought the latter was just a random old lady, but in following episodes she turned out to be Mrs. Nakata, wife of Kiyo's homeroom teacher.)

Nice finds. I never knew Lady Susan had a scene.
