Jamal Campbell's art is magnificent. If we get a full treatment scene out of this run it'll be one for the ages IMO.

What? No gags? Zatanna is like a magnet to being gagged. Her powers come from saying magic incantations, and gagging her first should be a priority.

Unfortunately the current plot has revolved around that sword being stuck in her chest disrupting her magic.
There was a moment in the first issue where she made the main Villainesses mouth disappear to stop her from using spells.

Actually the Paul Dini run(the creator of the character) explains that if her arms are free at all, she can draw out her spells. She can also do sign language.SeanRulez54 wrote: May 24th, 2025, 10:55 am What? No gags? Zatanna is like a magnet to being gagged. Uh no Paul Dini did not create Zatanna. She's been around longer than the animated series. 1964 to be exact.superDidfan wrote: May 25th, 2025, 9:10 pmActually the Paul Dini run(the creator of the character) explains that if her arms are free at all, she can draw out her spells. Yeah there whole story about her trying to find her father in the justice league comics when she first appeared
Re: Zatanna (2025) issue 2
And the father, Zatara the magician, made his debut in issue 1 of Action Comics....
