in the first 3 there is nothing(only the last 2 i could search for key words)
in book 4 the girl gets gagged, and later end up as a mummy with only her head free
in book 5 the badguy captures 2 people the girl knows that leaves them tied up in a store he burns down.
later on the entire neighborhood turn agains the main girl who than gets her hands cuffed by a wooden snake
