Why is this forum called Western Civilization?

[superDidfan]

Probably a dumb question, but why is this forum named what it is? Is it a Google censorship thing?

Short answer yes, when the originator of the board started it he wanted a very "non-bondage" title to make it private from search engines. It was also a play on the old AVGDiD Board which prioritized Anime and Manga over Western Toons and Comic DiD scenes. This was to be the alternative during those days. It's now an all-encompassing board since it's still around.
