Totally Spies! Season 8

Yep, finaly a date for the new season.
On 26-08 on 8:45 locaal time in french wil the new season air on Gulli.
I know by making this post that i am jumping the gun, but i have reason yo belive that in ep 3 alex and sam gets captured. I saw online a early drawing script and while it was hard to read it and a certain point in that episodes the girls got split up in diffrant locations, meaning ether clover got captured or sam and alex.
There is also the fact that every other season got DID.
I wil also keep looking for trailers as last season also had a trailer and promos.
I wil also try to keep track on tv guide sites so that if a new episode geta close by i wil post the summery.
Who knows maby 1 epiaode got something like a kidnapping

Exiting! Sam is the only one without a full treatment so this is a chance to go fix that. I would not mind Toby getting a full treatment either

I didn't even know they were making a new season! Good to know. Season 7 was a bit meh, hope this one is better DiD-wise.

I know its a blink and miss but Sam does have a canonical full treatment from Amazing Spiez spin-off


Still good to see another new season is coming because the last one actually delivered on some nice scenes. Here's to more on the way!

Yeah that blink and miss is still a classic. The fact that Sam never got the full treatment in an official TS episode is still a bummer after all these years.

The Dental more like mental Episode is one of my most favorite western scenes. Alex and Cover gagged with really good rope action. Too bad Sam was missing on that and was just tied up briefly.

We all know that time has changed a lot throughout these years and putting female characters into peril situations on a constant bases does not represent the recent zeitgeist.

I think this series was a good example how to make a good proportion. The girls are clearly the leading characters. They get into trouble plenty, but solve it on their own aswell. So quite modern and powerful in my mind.

Season 7 was already leaning into the modern ways, but still having a few scenes, but far from the old days. Many new adaptations were let downs. Take Cat's eye as an example. Not even one standard rope bondage for the reboot.

I personally don't excpect much from this eight season, especially compared to what we got in the early seasons.

I don't want to get too political, but the people in charge writing and producing shows these days are very far away of thinking about Did as a reasonable part of storytelling. Very difficult topic and we could talk about it for ages, but we can all see how rare good new DID scenes became. Especially in the western part of the world. (to make this clear, I am not against modern ideas in general, I just think some views are exaggerated and too dogmatic for my taste)

To be fair, and I hate to say this, but how much can be done with tying a character up? And realistically, how often would someone tie a person up when there are other ways to prevent them from escaping? Naturally I find tying up to be quite aesthetic, but from a storytelling perspective, it's not always the most logical thing to do.

I still want to see more DiD scenes though. Ones that fit well into the story while still delivering.

Today for some reason Gulli (channel were the show airs) has posted about 6 hours ago episode 1 on youtube.
Some people gets stuck in some hard jello(dont know what it realy is)
2 of its victams are Sam and Mandy.


Also the previous season they showed the main villian. This season apraitly there new boss(jerry daughter) has a sister who gets showed in the opening.
In the first episode there is even a moment were you think she is evil.
And considering that this season only wil air 24 episodes and the last 2 a 44 min. Episode, i think in that part the girls gets a treatment.
In season 5 the 3 parter episode there was a full treatment.
The season before were there mothers discover there spy life there mothers got a full treatment.
Before that suring the promotion they also got captured.
Even in the amazing spies spin off the mutple parts episode somebody gets a treatment.
So image that. Evil sister takes over woohp, spies find out, before they can warn jerry or toby they get bound and gagged to prevent them from spilling the beans.

Hope for some rope treatment for the spies sooner or later. I can understand the appeal but I myself have never been a big fan of these kind of restraints

I mean, being a fan of did content for the better part of my life, I always find tying someone up is the better method of preventing escape without have to build a separate room or contraption to keep them in, of course mainstream media never go the length applying a ridiculous amount of restraints over chest, elbows, knees and thighs, or even further mitten the hand to prevent any tinkering at all, but with enough restraint it’s very effective realistically speaking (I spent probably an unhealthy amount of time thinking about this lol). For story telling, other than just showing how the damsel being helpless with limited resources (as mentioned above, putting in a cage or a separate room/cell also serve the same purpose anyway), it’s also an elaborate way to set up a trap, making the hero/heroine have to think carefully before rushing in, depending on how well the screenwriter/author can come up with, but I think that’s like, the only way you can incorporate something like that

This is all my take, I do enjoy mainstream did scenes if they are good enough, just that I really wish they do something great every now and then, it feels incredibly lackluster in recent memory to be honest

for some reason, the site were the live stream can be watched and upload episodes of prevous seasons has now released 3 episodes of the new season
1 is the same as the one on youtube that is ep : Sœur-prise
ep On a échangé nos missions, got nothing.
but the last one ep : Un mère-veilleux cadeau, got something
in this episode the mothers of the girls fake a mission to spend time with them, that is until a real villian shows up.
the girls get a metal band around there weist trapping them to the ride when they get into the teacups. (you know, a famous park ride)

alright, i got some news.
First, last week i though that episode 2 got aired, a episode that was already online
This was not the case as they aired ep 10, in this episode Clover gets captured but end up in a cage.
today i check some sources and found out that just like season 7 the youtube channel were they air upload clips.
Those clips air 1 day after the episode got released and are of that episode.
luckly i remember that they also have a tiktok channel were they do upload clips for upcoming episodes.
Sunday they upload the first clip and Tuesday the second, both are diffrant moments of the same episode.
tomorrow episode : clover gets turned into a Musquito, and its possible that this is the episode i mention early as the draft had also a early scretch and a scene in 1 of the clips is alsmost the same as the scretch

Alex and sam gets caught snooping and end up with there hands behind there back (those guys hold them) and then get cocooned from the shoulders down, haning upside down in a glass container
