It is about a trio of 3 crooks which comes with rather elaborated plots in order to scam rich and naive people.
The series had two major authors: the creator, Louis Forton, who took over until 1938. And René Pellos, who worked on the series from 1948 until 1981. Pellos was the more successfull of all, authoring 99 issues. There have been multiple attempts since to revive the famous trio, but all failed.
One of the was the new adventures of the nickel feet, in 1991, which lasted for only three issues.
In the first issue, they try to escape the police in a concert hall, and well basically hide in the changing room of a small diva, without her approval.
In issue 2, they get arrested (the lady is a local police commissioner), and decide to take matter in their own hands
