Clutch Cargo gag scene from "Cliff Dwellers"

Post by somedude37 »

Well I just searched again for this very old cartoon scene from Clutch Cargo where a Native American maiden is bound and OTM gagged and found that the "Cliff Dwellers" episode has finally been put online! :) Here's the ep: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P4HMy3pJ ... 1C&index=6" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Before all I had of this scene was one cap I found on some website years ago, but I could never find the ep when I looked before. Unfortunately there's not really anything more to the gag part I could see. The same frame of her lying there b&g is used a couple times but that's about it, other than an earlier part where she's being held by a baddie but not gagged.

The same Youtube user who posted this episode also has most (not all) the eps of Clutch Cargo: http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLBA79462EF4451B1C" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I have never heard of other DiD scenes from this cartoon but it's possible. Probably won't check it myself as the odds seem pretty low for more DiD, but if anyone wants to go right ahead.

Thanks for sharing I never heard of this show before and I'm always happy to see some of those classic series. On the wikipedia page you can see that the show is from 1959. Man what a long time ago that is. My father wasn't even born and my grandma was 20 years old lol. It's just a funny thing to watch all this kinda stuff and have those kind of thoughts in your mind. They also happen when I search for comic book scenes from the past like old minnie mouse scenes from the 70ies and 80ies. In between you have those funny advertisments for old lego and "brand new super realistic atari games" and other toys from the past. I don't know if it's just me but I love to have a retro feeling like this, especially when i check stuff from a time before I was born.

*edit*
When I wrote this I used to buffer the video, so yeah I remember a screenshot of the scene. What a beautiful damsel she is. I love native american girls by the way. Pocahontas style, ya know. :D

Yeah it's neat to see a DiD scene from such an old cartoon. I did find the "Syncro-Vox" technique they used in this cartoon for making the characters speak just a little creepy though. :O I knew about it in advance but seeing those real human actors lips move for the animated characters mouths is kinda disturbing. Like with the boy, you can completely tell that it was a girl doing his voice because of those girly lips! :lol: How could a kid even be fooled by that? :P It was a time & cost saving technique apparently: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clutch_Cargo" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
