Mega Man cartoon (all DiD scenes)

Well I've been wanting to check this cartoon (well it's anime really) out myself for a long time and I finally did just that today after getting a DVDrip torrent for it downloaded. My main interest was getting a better quality version of the "Bro Bots" gag scene for Roll (her only actual gag in this show), but also to find the ep where she gets a really nice hand-gag from her brother Mega Man, which I'd never identified before now. Well to make a long story short, I accomplished both those goals, and a whole lot more. Not only did I find one more little hand-gag scene for Roll and another robot girl (from Rush actually!), but I decided I might as well document all the DiD scenes I might find in this series and make some cap collages for you guys, since I don't think we've ever had a good rundown of all the scenes from this 'toon/anime. After all, Roll is such a cutie, how could I resist? So without further ado, here are the collages I made with all the Roll and other girl DiD scenes I could find:



Okay, so when I capped these scenes I was just going in order through all the eps as they were in the torrent. Presumably this is the same order they are in on the dvd sets which were put out by the now-defunct ADV films. Unfortunately I didn't realize until I was all done that the dvds apparently messed up the episode order from their original air dates. So just be aware that if you download the torrent and you're looking for the scenes just go by the titles because the #'s might be different for some of them. I will be describing the caps going from top-to-bottom and left-to-right for each collage.

Collage 1

Ep 1 "The Beginning" - Roll grabbed by Guts Man and metal-strapped down to table in Dr. Wily's lab
Ep 2 "Electric Nightmare" - Roll grabbed by female bot in beauty salon, thrown into chair, and strapped into chair by metallic shackle
Ep 4 "The Big Shake" - Roll grabbed, carried, & held by Proto Man
Ep 3 "Mega-Pinnochio" - Roll falls through trap-door, trash compactor peril, Mega Man briefly grabs her around throat

Collage 2

Ep 7 "20,000 Leaks Under the Sea" - Roll zapped by laser gun-turret, electric shocked leading to faint/k.o.
Ep 6 "The Mega Man in the Moon" - girl grabbed & held by Dr. Wily / Roll grabbed and laser-jail locked-up by Proto Man
Ep 12 "Future Shock" - girl grabbed & held by police bot / Roll locked in jail cell with wrists chained behind back
Ep 13 "The Strange Island of Dr. Wily" - Roll grabbed & held by stone creature
Ep 19 "Night of the Living Monster Bots" - Roll falls through trap door, slides down into dungeon

Collage 3

Ep 19 "Night of the Living Monster Bots" - A movie actress lady is carried around by a Frankenstein bot
Ep 24 "Bro Bots" - Roll is caught by Dr. Wily & co., tied up in van and OTN gagged. Later she's locked-up in a metal cage suspended above an acid vat, and also grabbed by Bright Man
Ep 18 "Master of Disaster" - Roll is ensnared by the branches of a living-tree magically brought to life by an evil genie

Collage 4

Ep 20 "Curse of the Lion Men" - Roll is grabbed & held by Guts Man. She is re-programmed to serve the Lion Men. Later Mega Man sneaks up behind and hand-gags her while he turns off her power switch and she faints/powers-off so he can reset her programming.

Collage 5

Ep 22 "Campus Commandos" - To prevent them from ingesting some mind-control microchips made by Dr. Wily, Roll and a cheer-bot girl are paw-gagged (3 times actually) by Rush as he does a mid-air split. Roll is later grabbed by Guts Man and subsequently tied down to a rotating gear in a clock-tower.
Ep 23 "Brain Bots" - Roll is hit with a black energy sphere shot out by one of Dr. Wily's bots. It zaps her and morphs into shackles, binding her to a wall.
Ep 26 "Mega X" - Roll is hit by a massive electrical charge sent out by Spark Mandrill that pins her against a rock
Ep 27 "Crime of the Century" - Roll is grabbed and held aloft by Guts Man before he throws her at Mega Man

Thanks! Yeah that was a cute one. I was reminded a lot of Penny Gadget's scene from "The Coo-Coo Clock Caper" ep with that one. Clock-towers make such great places to put a damsel in peril, don't they? It's a shame more villains don't use them really.

I was also delighted to finally find that hand-gag scene for her in "Curse of the Lion Men" (good grief, what a silly episode though! ). That's one of my favorite hand-gag scenes ever. Delightful struggling and some nice angry mumbling there by her VA, Robyn Ross. The only thing that could have made it better was if instead of shutting her off he bound and gagged her instead.
